The Atlantic Amateur Dart Series (AADS): Setting a New Professional Standard for Elite Darts in Atlantic Canada

The Atlantic Amateur Dart Series (AADS) is the premier, self-governed organization dedicated to advancing the sport of darts and providing a professional, high-integrity platform for the highest-caliber players across the region. We are committed to establishing a new benchmark for competitive excellence, transparency, and maximized player compensation.

Independence and World-Class Standards

The AADS operates with absolute autonomy to focus entirely on the quality of our events and the well-being of our competitors. It is essential for players and partners to know that the AADS is a fully independent organization, and is not affiliated with, nor governed by, the Amateur Darts Circuit (ADC), the National Dart Federation of Canada (NDFC), or any other national or international organization.

Despite this independence, the integrity of our competition is paramount. Our official Rules and Regulations—covering game formats, equipment specifications, and player conduct—are meticulously held to the same professional standards implemented by world-recognized governing bodies, such as the World Darts Federation (WDF) and the Darts Regulation Authority (DRA). Competitors can be assured that the playing environment is professional, standardized, and fair.

Our core commitment to our players is defined by:

Entry to the Elite: Scouting and Application

While our events are designated as "invitation-only" to ensure a high-quality competitive field, the AADS actively welcomes new talent, meaning the Series is not closed to the public. We maintain a rigorous scouting list of proven, high-caliber players from across Atlantic Canada.

If you believe you possess the skill, mental toughness, and competitive drive required to participate in one of our demanding, ten-player qualifier events, we encourage you to apply. You can submit your application online by visiting aadsdarts.com and completing the application form. If you've got what it takes, you could be competing in our upcoming events alongside the region's elite.

All AADS events are centrally located at the CGCVenue Moncton, at 37 Bingham Dr, Moncton, NB, establishing a professional, high-quality home for elite darts in New Brunswick.

The AADS Tournament Structure: A Comprehensive Test of Competitive Skill

Our meticulously designed, two-stage tournament format is engineered to comprehensively test and reward every facet of a player's game: consistency, strategic precision, and nerve under pressure.

The Grueling Round-Robin Phase

Each event commences with ten hand-selected players who are randomly seeded into two groups of five. The initial stage features a demanding round-robin format, where every player is guaranteed a high volume of matches by facing each opponent in their group over a series of best-of-5 contests. This ensures that every player faces a diverse range of opponents, and that every single dart thrown holds significant weight in the journey to advance.

The Single-Elimination Knockout

The top four performers from each group then earn their spot in a highly-pressurized, single-elimination knockout bracket, where the stakes are immediately raised with the introduction of longer, set play matches. This demanding structure requires players to maintain a high level of scoring while demonstrating the resilience needed to hold their own throws and break their opponent. The format is a definitive examination of a player’s entire skill set, requiring the ability to hit crucial doubles under pressure and utilize strategic game management.

Only the most unwavering and skilled players will prevail. The ultimate victor of each tournament earns a substantial winner-take-all prize, guaranteeing an intense atmosphere that showcases the pinnacle of amateur darts in Atlantic Canada.

The Tournament of Champions & Strategic Partnership Opportunities

The Championship Event Structure

Once we have crowned six event champions, these six elite victors will compete in a single, high-stakes Championship Event—the Tournament of Champions.

This ultimate event is financially supported through a portion of the funding secured from our individual event sponsors, alongside dedicated Championship Event sponsors. This unique structure provides a major benefit to our returning champions: winners who have already paid registration to participate in the qualifying events will be granted complimentary entry to Championship Week, removing any additional financial barrier to competing for the ultimate series title and prize fund.

Corporate Sponsorship and Series Growth

Businesses have a vital opportunity to partner with the AADS and help elevate the sport by sponsoring an event. By purchasing one of our defined sponsorship tiers, corporations gain valuable exposure to an engaged and dedicated audience. Critically, the revenue generated from this corporate support directly funds the significant Tournament of Champions payout and fuels the overall growth of the AADS, enabling us to expand our reach, invest in high-quality live stream equipment, and further enhance our professional infrastructure.
